Signs of the disease can include a fever, harsh cough, and a green to yellow nasal discharge. Some dogs that have the virus may be asymptomatic. It is rarely fatal though dogs can be quite ill for several days and even develop secondary bacterial pneumonia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There is a vaccine available that has proven to prevent or lessen the severity of the disease for dogs. We encourage the vaccine for dogs that are going to be in boarding or day care facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
