About

Animal Medical Care is a small animal Veterinary clinic established in 1976 by Dr. Steven Brown providing a wide range of veterinary services. In 1979 Animal Medical Care received it’s AAHA accreditation, and continues to provide the standard of care set forth by AAHA.

In 2012 Animal Medical Care was purchased by his son, Dr. Eric Brown, where he continues to provide the best possible care to our patients and clients.

As a full-service veterinary clinic we provide a wide range of services from wellness exams to surgery. We also have an extensive in-house laboratory allowing us to provide same day results for our patients.

We are proud to be the only locally owned and operated veterinary clinic in Newport.

Animal Medical Care buildings

In October 2005 the practice moved across the street to a new 6800 sq ft building. The most appreciated “new spaces” are the expanded treatment area, the enclosed large animal bay, the children’s corner and the consultation room.

The hospital has also expanded its services and can offer ultrasound, laser and endoscopic exams as well as in-house lab.
